Spectator's Guide
Want to see all the events, or just one? Want to see one person several times? With a bit of planning, you can do it.
Cycling:
If you just want to cheer on the cyclists, head to Hollis. Lull Farm, Brookdale Farm or Hollis Center give you plenty of space to cheer them on and then get something tasty to snack on. You’ll be catching ‘em halfway through, after the long hills, so they’ll be happy to see you. If you want to see the end of the race, head east on Broad Street and take the brand spanking new Broad Street Parkway to the Millyard. So easy you’ll want to move your business there.
Paddling:
The launch is fun – most like place to see someone swimming. Head to Millyard Technology Park for that. You can also park at the Millyard Technology Park and walk along along the river. Stay long enough and the runners will go by in the opposite direction.
Running:
If you want to catch them twice head to the Whipple Street entrance to Mine falls park. You can see them at mile one and mile two, plus see the boats go under the bridge there. If the end is your thing, go to the Millyard entrance of Mine Falls Park (1 Pine Street Extension will get you close) and you can walk down to the river.
Best kept secret?
Watch from the Nimco Building (1 Pine Street Extension will get you close) and you will be able to see the paddlers twice and the runners go by twice as well.
* Note: Some map locations are approximate. Please use common sense for parking and accessing areas to watch the race.
